William Gold (born: September 14, 1996), better known online as Wilbur Soot, is an English YouTuber, musician and former Twitch streamer who is best known for his Minecraft gameplay on Twitch and YouTube. Soot got his start as the editor and main host of the group channel SootHouse and has also edited for fellow Youtuber JackSucksAtLife before. Soot rose to fame in 2020 as part of the YouTube and Twitch Minecraft series The Dream SMP. Soot also formed his band Lovejoy in 2021. In 2024, allegations of abuse from fellow content creator Shubble that Soot himself confirmed to be true caused his career as both an internet personality and musician to be surrounded by controversy and he and his band has lost a lot of popularity since.
