The narrative would explore the CIA and KGB as fronts for the Templar Order and the Assassin Brotherhood, respectively. You could play as a double agent or a defecting operative uncovering the secret history of the conflict. The game will set in the 21st century and stars a modern-day Assassin initiate. Rather than reliving historical memories, the character's Animus sessions would be used to reconstruct memories of the recent past, focusing on Abstergo's operations during the decades of the Cold War and the War on Terror. The main antagonist would be a high-ranking Templar CEO leading a modern-day security conglomerate with a sprawling, multi-national corporation, with missions taking place in real-world cities like London, New York, Tokyo, Paris, Hong Kong and Moscow.
