El is an aspiring sneaker designer. Originally from Queens, he works in the shoe shop that belonged to his late mother, now run by his stepfather. To protect himself from his stepfather, his two half-brothers and their attempts to ruin his ambitions, he is forced to hide his artistic talent from them. One day, he meets Kira, with whom he becomes close. However, he does not know that she is the daughter of Darius King, a former basketball player and sneaker magnate.
