Shirley Patricia Mallmann is a Brazilian model. She was Brazil's first major top model, paving the way for Brazilian models abroad. She became immortalized as the model for Jean Paul Gaultier's first perfume, "Classique," whose bottle depicts a female torso with a tiny waist. Mallmann was named "Celebrity of the Year" by the American television channel E! in 1999. Additionally, the Rio Grande do Sul native starred in the Pirelli Calendar and walked the runway for Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Armani, Helmut Lang, Dior, and Prada, among others.
She took a break from the fashion world to care for her first child, born in 2002. She returned to the runway in 2003 and began working on more commercial projects.
In 2008, pregnant with her second child, the model, who had lived in the US for 12 years, made a brief visit to Brazil to star in the winter campaign for the fashion label Patachou. In 2010, she starred in a Silverlab campaign, a more specific line developed by the Colcci brand. In 2014, she returned to the runway, showing off her physique at SPFW. A week later, she was cast as the star of the Fall/Winter campaign for the renowned handbag brand Queens Paris, by Santino. Mallmann has a history of appearing on the covers of Brazilian magazine Donna, having appeared on eight covers between 1995 and 2013.
