Michael Johnson is a retired American sprinter widely regarded as one of the greatest sprinters of all time, known for his unique upright running style and his dominance in the 200m and 400m events. He won four Olympic gold medals and eight World Championship gold medals, becoming the first and only man to win both the 200m and 400m at the same Olympics (Atlanta 1996) and the only man to repeat as the 400m Olympic champion (Sydney 2000). Johnson also held world records in the 200m, 400m, and 4x400m relay during his career.
