Martin ‘Marty’ Rantzen is a fictional anti-hero from the 1986 obscure slasher ‘Slaughter High’. In the film, Marty was a normal teenager whose birthday was on April 1st, or April Fools Day. A high school nerd, was bullied all his life by his peers. On his birthday was when things got too far. Marty was tricked into standing naked in an open stall in the girls bathroom, much to his embarrassment. After being given a poisoned joint, a prank that happened the same day as payback went horribly wrong as nitric acid disfigured the poor boy. Ten years after the incident, Marty invites his old bullies back to their old school Dodsville High, as Marty wears his old clothes plus a red letterman jacket. After stealing an old man mask and a jester cap, he kills his bullies one by one in various ways. Marty was portrayed by the late Simon Scuddamore, in what would sadly be his only acting role before taking his own life at the hands of a drug overdose in 1984, shortly after production ended, at age 28. Since the film’s release, Slaughter High has gone on to be a cult favorite among horror movie lovers.
