Kim Sun-Yung is one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside Captain Turner) of The Karate Kid franchise. He is a master of Tang Soo Do who created the Way of The Fist, the martial arts style which evolved into Cobra Kai, the karate teacher of John Kreese and Terry Silver and the grandfather of Kim Da-Eun.
In The Karate Kid, his likeness was provided by Jun Chong. In Cobra Kai, he was portrayed by Ma Dong-seok and will be portrayed by C. S. Lee.
