Erectopus was a genus of basal allosauroid theropod dinosaur that lived in France during the Early Cretaceous period. The type species, E. superbus, was a relatively small, carnivorous predator, estimated to be around 5 meters (16 feet) long and weighing about 315 kg (694 pounds). The genus is named for its "upright foot" and is known from fragmentary remains, with the original fossils lost during World War II but casts still available for study.
