Death, also known as Lobo, or simply The Wolf, is the overarching antagonist of DreamWorks' 43rd full-length animated feature film Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, a spin-off of the Shrek franchise and the sequel to both Puss in Boots and Shrek Forever After. He was the arch-nemesis of Puss in Boots and by far also his most dangerous foe.
As his name suggests, he is one of the physical embodiment of death who takes the appearance of a large wolf in a black hooded poncho. During the events of the film, Death is intent on personally killing the legendary Puss in Boots for disrespecting him after wasting eight of his nine lives carelessly.
In the film, he was voiced by Wagner Moura, who also played Pablo Escobar in Narcos. In DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing, he was voiced by Adam Gifford. In the Japanese dub of the film itself, he was voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda, who also voiced Seto Kaiba in Yu-Gi-Oh!, Kai Chisaki in My Hero Academia Orsted in Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation and Bruford in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood.
