Darren Alex Nichols (also known as D.A. Nichols; born September 25, 1968) is a voice actor, film producer, director, screenwriter, and showrunner, most notably known for his work in film and television. He is the creator of the series Superstars (1999-2011) and Arctic Wolfey (2004-2013). He is also most known for his partnership with Abbey Thickson. D.A. Nichols was born on September 25, 1968 in Valparaiso, Indiana, and was introduced to animation through many studios. In the late 1980s, he began his animation career, starting with serving as an animator and storyboard artist at Colossal Pictures (now WildBrain Entertainment), also forming his own subsidiary, D.A. Studios. He left the studio in 1996 to found NT Animation, and made his directorial debut in the studio's first film, Rabbit's Night Out. In April 2005, he and Abbey Thickson founded NicThic Productions. In 2011, the company created its in-house animation studio, NicThic Cinemation Studios.
