Chief Martin Brody is the main protagonist of the novel Jaws by Peter Benchley, it's 1975 well-acclaimed blockbuster thriller adaptation of the same name and the 1978 sequel Jaws 2, a mentioned character in Jaws 3-D, and a posthumous character in Jaws: The Revenge. He is the police chief of Amity Island in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He was portrayed by the late Roy Scheider in the first two films.
