Initially focused on a sports career in gymnastics and football, she pivoted to acting after an injury and graduated from the Perm State Institute of Culture. Her breakout came in 2019 with a leading role in the film "Love Them All," but she achieved widespread fame as Marina in the hit series "Chiki" (2020). Mikhailova gained international acclaim in 2022 for her haunting portrayal of Antonina Miliukova in Kirill Serebrennikov’s drama "Tchaikovsky's Wife," which competed for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
