The sorceress Zatanna Zatara is in search of her missing father, but when her cousin Zachary and the demon Etrigan ask for her help to defeat the young sorcerer Klarion, they will enter a race against time to recover the book of black magic called Necronomicon, the which possesses the power to free the interdimensional demon Eclipso.
Batman and Superman ask John Constantine to keep an eye on Zatanna as a potential future member of the Justice League.
