After the events of VRAINS, Mag Mel wants to use the new power known as Code Time: To turn virtual interspace in his own image which is why he kidnapped Jaden, Yugi, and Yusei Fudo and turned them into virtual ghosts, specters of the original duelists so it's up to Yukudo Maka Mari Samaki Kota Izumi, Tristan Taylor, Joey Wheeler, Tea Gardner, Mai Valentine, and Jack Atlas to save the three duelists from Mag Mel's grasp before Interspace is taken over by virtual ghosts
