X-Men 4: The New Mutants is a 2011 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the X-Men. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Twentieth Century Fox, It is the fifth film in the X-Men film series and the fourteenth film in the Perfect Marvel Universe (PMU). The film was directed by Matthew Vaughn and written by Ashley Edward Miller, Zack Stentz and Jane Goldman and stars Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, James Marsden, Famke Janssen, Kelsy Grammer, Anna Paquin, Taylor Kitsch, Rebecca Romijn, Liev Schreiber, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Kim Basinger, Olivia Munn, Stefan Kapičić, Ben Foster, Emma Dumont and Peter Dinkalge. The plot revolves around the Government making a cure for the mutant race, led by genius scientist Bolivar Trask, causing a split in the Mutant Community.
