Casting the X-Men for the MCU. In this universe, mutants have always existed, but were pretty rare. A dormant gene called the X-Gene is sometimes triggered. Just like with Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, when Thanos snapped, some of the people who dusted away and then came back had their X-Genes activated by the sudden distress and power.
