Description of Dr. Vincent Amfortas (Amfortas):
A reclusive, and rather religious older man studying pain who works in the neurological ward of Georgetown General hospital. He lost his wife to meningitis three years prior and has been depressed ever since. Amfortas has a lesion in the temporal lobe of his brain, which he refuses to treat because of his need to reunite with his wife. It is because of this, he experiences a phenomenon known as “the double”, in which he hallucinates a 3D projection of himself mimicking his every movement. He takes an interest in the supernatural, and has tried to communicate with spirits via EVP phenomenon.
