When 18-year-old Emmet attempts suicide on the one year anniversary of his girlfriend's death, having been suffering from frequent hallucinations of her since her passing, he is sent to Remedy Point Rehabilitation Center. There, he meets Amy, a hard-partying girl who nearly overdosed that same night. The two develop an intimate relationship over their time in rehab but are pulled back to the reality of their own separate lives when they are discharged after three months of long-term treatment, having to deal with the repercussions of their choices and learn to get better.
