Vernon God Little is a fifteen-year-old boy living in a Texas village. When his friend Jesus Navarro commits suicide after killing sixteen classmates guilty of bullying, suspects fall on Vernon, which becomes a sort of scapegoat in his country. For fear of the death penalty, he escapes to Mexico
