Lowen Ashleigh is an author whose career is failing as she sees it. Just as Lowen starts to lose hope, she gets the offer of a lifetime: she gets hired to finish the bestselling series of a famous author named Verity Crawford. Verity’s husband, Jeremy Crawford, allows Lowen to stay at the Crawford household for some time in order to go over Verity’s notes for the series. However, Lowen discovers a manuscript that Verity had supposedly written about her own life experiences… and what she finds is disturbing.
