Eight months have passed since the Jedi Purge, and Darth Vader embarks on a personal quest, determined to uncover ancient Sith knowledge his master, Darth Sidious, has yet to reveal to him. During his journey, Vader travels to ancient Sith worlds—Moraband, Ziost, Nathema, and Thule—studying long-forgotten languages, cultures, and forbidden rituals. In doing so, he uncovers philosophies of power and immortality that reshape his understanding of the dark side. As his mission continues, Vader encounters mysterious allies who, like him, are drawn to the nature of the dark side. These disciples—Force-sensitive beings weaker than most Jedi or Sith—seek purpose through forbidden knowledge. With each revelation, Vader’s resentment toward Palpatine deepens, as he realizes these ancient teachings—ones Sidious likely knew—may have been capable of saving Padmé’s life.
