Adam was recruited by Victoria to be a member of the newborn army roaming Seattle. Sometime after his transformation, Adam discovered that the sun could not kill vampires, which was against the information he was given. He went to tell the army's sole authority Riley Biers, who in turn told Victoria. Subsequently, Victoria killed Adam because she didn't want him to tell the other newborns about the sunlight.[1]
