Six million years after the near destruction and forced abandonment of their dying homeworld, both the Autobots and Decepticons have taken refuge on Earth after crash landing on the planet in ancient times and continuing to crash over the years. It is now the year 2005, and they have been stranded on Earth, both factions remaining in hiding, afraid of detection on either side or by humans.
