Jetfire was once a scientist Starscream knew until he was frozen on Earth for millions of years. When Megatron and Starscream found him, he was now the muscle in the Seekers who towered over Optimus Prime and could overpower him (given the advantage). That is, until one fateful day when he was given the order by Redwing to kill their prisoners Will, Bumblebee, and Jazz. But he shot Redwing instead. He never wanted to harm anybody.
