Set in the adjacent timeline of my own DCU. 8 episodes. In 1997, a string of kidnappings occurs from July to October. A man nicknamed Mister Cruel breaks into homes where children live, takes them, and sexually assaults them. If the parents get in the way, he'll sexually assault and kill them. This man is constantly on the run from the police. A cat burglar has several run ins with this man, she doesn't bother fighting him, but doesn't like him either. She contacts a GPD technician, known only as Enigma. They attempt to take him down, but aren't successful. During Mister Cruel's seventh assault, he is brutally beaten, nearly to death, and hung up on the GPD's entrance. His body covered in tally marks of the people he's killed, mostly the parents.
