The story skips the traditional origin tale and jumps straight into the action, showcasing Superman protecting the innocent. Meanwhile, Clark Kent struggles with his sense of alienation while trying to fit in and coexist with humanity. Despite this, he has already formed a connection with Lois Lane, Superman faces off against Doomsday, who has been sent by Brainiac. The battle is fierce and culminates in both Superman and Doomsday dying. As the world mourns Superman's loss and holds a grand funeral for him, With Superman gone, Brainiac attempts to seize control of the world. However, Superman returns from the dead to save the day. Brainiac sends a giant spider to fight him, but Superman manages to destroy the spider and then confronts Brainiac. In a final showdown, Superman destroys both Brainiac and his ship. The people of Earth rejoice, relieved and inspired by Superman's return as he flies triumphantly into the sky.
