In 2036, Bruce Wayne is still fighting criminals and villainy as Batman, flanked by his support group of crime fighters and resources. It’s been 45 years since the Joker’s rampage, and Bruce is going to great lengths to keep his ailing, battered body young and fit, as Gotham City becomes a 1930s Sci-Fi pulp nightmare. But as he runs Batman Incorporated and Wayne Enterprises at 85 years old, old enemies return. Chip Shreck has returned to turn Shreck Enterprises into a financial juggernaut again, and Bruce, Selina, Drake and Barbara are suspicious. Is it a revenge attempt for his father Max’s dirty deeds, or is something hiding under the shadows? The answer is much worse than they could imagine. He has been wearing a skintight face mask & bodysuit of his once youthful face and body to hide a dark secret. His body has become a gaunt, green energy skeleton with ungodly abilities. He is about to unleash revenge on Gotham, as a new rouges gallery emerges, somehow even worse than the generation of freaks before the Superhero Wars. But Bruce has a new addition to his surrogate Bat-Family: Terry McGinnis! Young, idealistic and willing to put his life on the line to protect humanity, Terry has become the Batman of the future after his heroic actions aiding the Justice League against the rogue Supers. With a new flying Batmobile and a BatSuit that can fly at 1,000s of MPH, he has a long way to go, but an eagerness to prove himself as his own man.
