In a distant galaxy, the noble feline humanoids known as the ThunderCats are forced to flee their homeworld of Thundera after it is destroyed by a mysterious cosmic force unleashed by their arch-nemesis, Mumm-Ra, an ancient sorcerer of death and decay. Crash-landing on the untamed world of Third Earth, young Lion-O (Henry Cavill), heir to the Sword of Omens, must rise into his destiny as Lord of the ThunderCats. Haunted by self-doubt and the shadow of his father’s legacy, Lion-O finds himself tested as ancient enemies and unexpected allies emerge from the wilds of Third Earth. Beside him stand the wise and inventive Panthro (Michael Jai White), the lightning-fast mystic Cheetara (Margot Robbie), the cunning illusionist Tygra (Simu Liu), and the mischievous but brave twins Wilykit (Salish Matter) and Wilykat (Gordon Cormier). As Mumm-Ra gains power from the ancient Spirits of Evil and seeks to remake Third Earth in his undead image, the ThunderCats must unite displaced races, awaken ancient technologies, and harness the mystical power of the Eye of Thundera to stop him. Old loyalties are tested, secrets of Thundera’s past come to light, and Lion-O must embrace his destiny—not as a child with a king’s weapon, but as a true leader. In a climactic battle that spans the skies, seas, and ruins of ancient civilizations, the ThunderCats rally for a final stand. The war cry echoes once more: "ThunderCats, Ho!"
