James Bucanan Barnes was believed to be dead for decades, but little did everyone including his best friend Steve know he was alive and being mind-controlled by Hydra. Now out of Hydra's control, The Winter Soldier has to go up against the Grimm Reaper and save the United Nations from several terrorist attacks while also being hunted by the government, S.W.O.R.D, and S.H.I.E.L.D which is being runed by a man named Victor Von Doom.
