The War That Saved My Life is the story of a girl, Ada, from London (during World War II), who has a club foot, gets hurt and abused my mam, her mother. So she runs away with her younger brother Jamie, and meets Susan, who will take care of them. However, there are lots of conflicts and lies holding everything together, especially because there is a war going on.
