Tyreese is a main character first encountered in Issue 7 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead as well as the protagonist of the Tyreese Special. He is a strong and charismatic survivor who often acts as a leader. Following the death of Shane, Tyreese fills the role of Rick's right-hand man, ally, and a good friend. He later became a member of the Prison's committee along with Rick, Hershel, and Dale.
