The Burning Maze

Zeus has turned his son, the once divine Apollo, into a mortal teenager with acne, flab, and the unfortunate alias Lester Papadopoulos. Lester, enslaved to a pushy twelve-year-old named Meg, is expected- without godly powers- to liberate five ancient Oracles from a trio of evil Roman emperors. So far he’s managed to restore two Oracles and receive a prophecy about “mazes dark”, “lands of scorching death”, and a “master of the swift white horse.” Now he and Meg must journey through the Labyrinth, avoiding its venting hellfire, to find the third emperor- a villainous tyrant Apollo never wanted to meet again. Is their cloven guide, Grover Underwood, up to the task? Are any of them? Apollo needs to keep his cool through this sizzling adventure, but by the time you read this, he might already be toast.
