Disguised as a human, the assassin known as the Terminator travels from 2029 to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor. Sent to protect Sarah is Kyle Reese, who announces the arrival of Skynet, an artificial intelligence system that will detonate a nuclear holocaust. Sarah is the target because Skynet knows that her future son will lead the fight against them. With the relentless Terminator chasing them, Sarah and Kyle try to survive.
