Christopher Pearce discovers that the quiet suburban life he is living is a lie. His family is not his. His real father is lying dead in the middle of his living room. The gauntlets that gave his father powers have now been passed on to Chris and he must lead The Team, a racktag bunch of misfits that his father led and discover who created the lie that he has been living and why... and also try and get over the fact that the monkey can talk.
