mr_blue_sky This film is a more dramatic adaptation of Richard Matheson's original novel, and focuses upon Scott's fear of eventually shrinking into nothing. It has some elements from the movie in it, but is more closer to the book while also expanding out certain parts. This also includes a David Lynch-esque sequence near the end where Scott dreams he's in a sort of subatomic utopia, which convinces him to accept his fate, knowing however small he shall become, at least God is aware he still exists.

mr_blue_sky @sonictiger The original film, as outdated and cheesy as it was, featured an alien design that's as iconic as H.R. Giger's Xenomorphs in Alien. Plus, it was the film riffed in a feature-length episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
