The Spider-Man is a 2014 American Superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. It was directed by Jon Watts, Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Sony Pictures. It is the Twenty-Third film in the Perfect Marvel Universe (PMU). The film stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Angourie Rice, Mark Hamil, Aaron Paul, Jake Gyllenhaal, Marisa Tomei, Katherine McNamara, Dove Cameron, Timothee Chalamet and Matthew McConaughey, replacing Jim Carrey as Norman Osborn due to Scheduling conflicts. The film shows Peter Parker trying to balance his life as both Peter Parker and Spider-man while developing his relationship with his friends and family. But must Dawn the mask again when three villains named Doc Ock, Electro and Mysterio start causing havoc.
