Peter Parker must adapt to the changes in his life. Now studying at a college in New York, he has his new friends Gwen and Harry and a freelance photographer job at the Daily Bugle while he's focused on fighting New York crime, making an enmity with Wilson Fisk. Fisk hires the criminal MacGargan who harbors a deep grudge against Spider-Man to serve as a test subject for the Scorpion project, but the project is sabotaged by thief Felicia Hardy, who seeks revenge against Gargan for killing her father in prison, turning Gargan into a half man, half android scorpion creature, pitting Peter in a brutal battle against what could be considered a natural predator for Spider-Man
