All work and no play make Jack a very dull boy
Hoping to find some free time for writing, Jack Torrance takes a job as caretaker of the Overlook Hotel in Colorado during one snowy winter, bringing his family with him. But the hotel isn't as abandoned as it seems. Something dark seems intent on bringing out and indulging the worst parts of Jack's personality and claiming his own son, Danny, at any cost to the Torrance family. Bad things happen at the Overlook Hotel. And sometimes... they linger.
