"The Rocketeer" is a 1991 action-adventure film directed by Joe Johnston and based on the comic book series of the same name by Dave Stevens. With the help of his mechanic friend Peevy, Cliff becomes "The Rocketeer" and uses his new abilities to fight against a group of Nazis who are after the jetpack, as well as a Hollywood actor who is secretly working with the Nazis. As Cliff tries to keep the jetpack out of the wrong hands, he also tries to win back his girlfriend Jenny, who has been taken captive by the Nazis. Along the way, Cliff encounters a number of colorful characters, including Howard Hughes, the famous aviation pioneer who created the jetpack, and a gangster named Eddie Valentine, who is also after the jetpack. With its thrilling aerial stunts, 1930s setting, and nods to classic Hollywood films, "The Rocketeer" is a fun and entertaining adventure that pays homage to the pulp fiction of the era. The film was well-received by audiences and has since become a cult classic.
