Wealthy Joe Grant has hired four very capable men: Weapons and tactics expert Rico Fardan, the leader, explosives man Bill Dolworth, Jack Sharp, a black bounty hunter and expert tracker and bowman, and horsemaster Hans Ehrengard. His young wife Maria, he tells them, has been kidnapped by Mexican rebel Jesus Raza–their mission is to rescue her from Raza's stronghold. But when Rico and his men get there, they find that Grant hasn't told them the whole story.
