The outsiders
In 1960s Oklahoma, two brothers—Ponyboy and Sodapop Curtis—navigate the brutal divide between the wealthy Socs and the working-class Greasers. When a tragic confrontation leaves a Soc dead, Ponyboy and his friend Johnny are forced to flee, setting off a chain of events that tests the bonds of brotherhood, loyalty, and class warfare. As the Curtis brothers struggle to keep their family together after their parents' death, they discover that heroism and humanity transcend social status. The story unfolds through Ponyboy's eyes as he grapples with grief, identity, and the realization that life isn't as simple as the divisions that separate their town. Themes of belonging, sacrifice, and finding one's place in a harsh world resonate throughout this coming-of-age tragedy that explores what it truly means to be an outsider.
