The Odyssey narrates the adventures and misadventures of the sagacious Odysseus, King of Ithaca, and his men in their attempt to reach their home after the Trojan War. They will face the wrath of the gods and curses of witches, dangers in the sea and monsters and creatures of all kinds, while in Ithaca his wife Penelope and his son Telemaco await his return in a city that already believes its king has disappeared.
