Five teenage mutants -- Mirage, Wolfsbane, Cannonball, Sunspot and Magik -- undergo treatments at a secret institution that will cure them of their dangerous powers. Invited by Dr. Cecilia Reyes to share their stories, their memories soon turn into terrifying realities as they start to question why they're being held and who's trying to destroy them. But the answers to their burning questions, and the truth behind their confinement, is more dark and dangerous than they could have ever assumed, and they soon must face the biggest question of all: is the world they've been shut out of something they really want to go back to? This is what, in my opinion, The New Mutants should have been. Rated R.
