Many different universes make up the DC Multiverse, many are so radically different from each other that their stories need to be told. Earth-Seventeen is an Earth that at the forefront is gritty and heavily steeped in 1980s grime. Earth-54 is an Earth that is extremely technologically advanced and we got on Mars in 1960. Earth-395 is an Earth where the infant Kal-El landed in medieval England.
