The Master was the moniker used by a renegade Time Lord. Cruel, cold and at times almost completely psychotic, they were nonetheless possessing of a naturally suave, charming manner, a tool they used to their benefit. Their goals, which included universal dominion, and the unnatural prolonging of their own life, often brought them up against their longtime enemy and one-time friend, the fellow Time Lord known as The Doctor.
