Clara reveals the town is cursed by the spirit of an ancient, vengeful entity known only as The Hollowed One, which feeds on human greed and guilt. The Priest believes the entity is divine punishment and starts performing dangerous rituals, convinced they can atone for their sins. Eli, the bounty hunter, becomes an unlikely ally, revealing he was once part of a massacre that destroyed his family, connecting him to the curse.
