The Land Before Time Takes in Place in the Cretaceous Period . The plot features a young brown Alamosaurus named Littlefoot, who ends up alone after his mother is attacked by a villainous Tyrannosaurus rex and dies. Littlefoot flees famine and upheaval to search for the Great Valley, an area spared from devastation, where the adult dinosaurs have moved on to. On his journey, he meets four young companions: Cera, an Triceratops, Ducky, a Edmotosaurus, Petrie, a Quetzalcoatlus, and Spike, a Ankylosaurus.
