Tony Stark is your average American billionaire playboy with the world at his fingertips until a tragic attack during a weapons expedition in the Middle East leaves him half-dead. Only just saved by an electronic pacemaker placed into his heart, Tony adopts the superhero persona "Iron Man", and sets out to defeat the terrorists who attacked him when he finds out that them and their weapons are heading to New York.
