Billionaire, playboy and visionary industrial genius Tony Stark and his father are kidnapped by a group of terrorists, known only as the “Ten Rings”. They were held hostage for over 9 months, being forced to construct weapons to aid the terrorists in their mission. However, Tony was left on the brink of death, due to shrapnel being stuck in his chest. To save his son, Howard built a powerful electric generator called an Arc Reactor. Howard and Tony also began working on a suit of armour, allowing them to break free and escape. Tony rebuilds this armor to help protect people.
