May 4, 2007. After a brutal ambush in Afghanistan, weapons manufacturer Tony Stark awakens in captivity—held hostage by insurgents wielding his own technology. To escape, he builds a crude suit of armor and returns home a changed man, but the war he thought he left behind has followed him. As he battles a corrupt business empire, an underground arms network begins quietly cloning his tech.
